This is a Turkey Burger piled hign with lettuce, pickles and onions on a Hand Milled Grain Jalapeno and Cheddar bun from Bakers by Heart.

Turkey Burgers

These Turkey Burgers are juicy and delicious. By cooking these on the stovetop in a cast iron skillet and finishing in the oven helps to prevent dry hockey-pucks!
Servings 4 people


  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 1/2 Onion, diced
  • 3 Tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp Mustard
  • Dash Hot sauce
  • 1 Egg, Whole
  • 3/4 cup Breadcrumbs
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • A Few Spritz Cooking Oil Spray such as grapeseed


  • Heat over to 375 degrees Combine all ingredients (aside from Cooking Spray) in bowl and mix well with hands. Shape into 4 Patties.
  • Spritz a few sprays cooking oil spray into cast iron skillet and heat on medium-high. When skillet is warm, add all 4 patties and switch heat to medium-low.
    Cook on first side for 6 minutes; flip and continue to cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Finish in 375 degree oven for 15 minutes or to desired doneness.
  • Dress burger and Enjoy!
